COURSE CONTENT
MODULE 1: ART BASICS
We’ll start by familiarizing ourselves with the essential materials and tools and we’ll explore the fundamental elements of art, perspective and lighting, eye level, horizon line and other necessary topics to help you have the right approach while paintings. You'll be well-prepared to tackle the more complex and exciting aspects of food illustrations.
MODULE 3: MAIN COURSE
In Module 3, we’ll dive into the heart of food illustrations by tackling some classic main courses. To make things fun, I’ve chosen a breakfast, lunch and dinner theme. First, we’ll paint a realistic avocado egg toast for breakfast, followed by a flavorful masala dosa for lunch, and we’ll finish with a mouth-watering pizza for dinner. For each illustration, we’ll be using canvases shaped to match the food itself.
MODULE 4: BEVERAGES
In this module, we’ll focus on illustrating beverages, covering both transparent and opaque surfaces. To start, we’ll paint a refreshing mango shake in a transparent glass, where I’ll guide you through the techniques needed to create the illusion of glass. This will help you understand how to capture reflections, transparency, and depth.
MODULE 5: PAINTING DESSERTS
And finally, we’ve saved the best for last! In this module, we’ll indulge in painting some truly mouth-watering desserts. We’ll start by painting a rich, chocolatey donut, capturing its glossy icing and fluffy texture. Then, we’ll move on to a beautiful flan topped with a fresh strawberry, focusing on its smooth, shiny surface and delicate details.
MODULE 6: BONUS RESOURCES AND MATERIALS
